Have you ever been presented with a forced sales pitch and then immediately been turned off because the delivery felt pushy? Didn't it feel completely ingenuine, not to mention tacky?

TODAY, I'M TALKING ABOUT HOW YOU CAN CREATE EXCITEMENT AROUND THE BRAND YOU'VE RELENTLESSLY PUT YOUR HEART INTO BY STAYING TRUE TO YOUR PERSONALITY...SANS SOUNDING LIKE YOU'RE STANDING IN A USED CAR LOT. EW!

Non-Salesy Ways to Promote Your Brand Launch

In an email I sent to my subscribers recently, I said the following: "Just go for it! Put yourself out there, already. Just do the thing!"

While I believe in standing beside my clients with encouragement for their passions (as cheesy as that encouragement might be 😆) if the message reflects my personality and aligns with my values (ex: instilling brand confidence) it just works because it's AUTHENTIC.  So, let's break it down a bit more as it applies to brand launching. As small business owners, we have a lot on our plates. We manage ALL the things. When we get those things done, then we do more things and the list goes on. Guess what, though? I have really good news for you.

LAUNCHING YOUR BRAND DOESN'T HAVE TO BE COMPLICATED. HERE ARE A FEW METHODS I RECOMMEND FOR BUILDING EXCITEMENT AROUND YOUR BRAND LAUNCH.

01. Tell your story...with our face.

People you know are already likely interested and want to know more about what you are doing. Let them know in casual conversation when they ask what you've been up to lately. It's a natural lead in to give them an exciting low pressure, casual description of what you will be doing. So brush up on your "WHY!" Refer back to your branding guidelines and find your core values, mission, and vision. Print them out, hang them on your wall, embed them in your heart, and let the sincerity ooze out of you while you share your passion with others. Telling your story is the heart of your messaging. People want to work with enthusiastic people who actually care. If you're telling your story on social media, talk directly to that target client the value you bring to them. When you focus on helping that target client, it will help you shine with authenticity and it will feel less like you're making a sales pitch.

02. Give a sneak peek.

Give your audience a chance to see what's going on behind the scenes. Share a snapshot from your branding photo session, a glimpse of your new business stationary, or a photo of your office workspace. If you're putting the work into your brand why not share your dedication and excitement with others? Allow opportunities for early access to special giveaways, incentives, or exclusive peeks at what is to come. Consider setting up an email marketing platform to begin sharing news to a more focused down group of leads. If you haven't explored FLODESK is a really simple email marketing platform and creates beautifully designed emails.

03. Setup a countdown.

As you anticipate the date you've set to release your new brand into the world, post on your social media accounts every few days with your countdown. As the launch date gets closer, increase the frequency to build more excitement. Prepare branded graphics ahead of time to keep things simpler. I recommend using CANVA for creating social media graphics. Remember that even though you feel like you're posting often, it doesn't seem that way to your audience.

REMEMBER, TO BE YOU AND ENJOY YOUR LAUNCH TO THE FULLEST!

There’s so much that could be said about each element of a brand design, but for this specifically, I want to hone in on color. Colors for your brand shouldn’t be chosen at random and it’s important to fully understand what each color means before you use it as a part of your brand. The best brand colors are chosen with a clear purpose in mind, so let’s dive into the color psychology of some of the most popular colors you’re probably used to seeing. If you’re unfamiliar, color psychology suggests that different colors can evoke specific emotions, moods, and associations. While it’s true that individual perceptions may vary, there is a general rule of thumb associated with every color on the color wheel.
